Devon Minnow Boxes
 These
Devon minnow boxes are hand crafted from solid teak
providing the serious fishermen with a safe and durable
container. The lid of one box has been decorated by
Ronald Swanwick, a well know Herefordshire artist. Each
box is designed to store removable hooks and swivel
sections, and the odd spinner, in a tray at the top
and the minnow bodies below this on a fixed spine.
The lid is made with a sliding
action. Once in place the minnows and tackle remain
secure in their allotted locations. All corner joints,
including those on the internal tray, are hand cut dovetails.
A recessed, antiqued brass campaign handle is set into
the top for ease of use. The internal minnow body stand
can be lifted out. This stand is graduated, in steps,
to take four different sizes of body. There are nine
spines per step and the smallest is 1 ¾"/4.5cm through
to the longest at 2 ¾"/7cm.
