Victorian Mahogany Commode
 This
two drawer chest of drawers, or commode if you are posh,
was in a sorry old state when we purchased it.
However, nothing is too great a
challenge for our workshop! Two knobs were missing and
these were replaced with a pair of contemporary ones.
The bottoms of the drawer runners
had worn away and had to be replaced. The main task
was to replace some missing veneer and fixing down some
loose patches.
Once all the prep work was done
the whole thing was cleaned back to its original state,
stained, sealed and re polished to a lustre finish.
Now we have a stylish piece of
furniture with commodious drawers!
