Cherrywood Side Table
 This
slim, elegant side table is made from solid American
cherrywood and black walnut stringing. The top is jointed
from three pieces showing the variety of grain that
is ever present with cherry. The top is fitted to the
sub frame assembly using "buttons"; these allow movement
without stress cracks appearing.
Further details enhance the overall
appearance with two walnut strings to each rail and
the mortice and tenon joints are all strengthened with
walnut pegs. Each leg has a gentle taper to each inside
face which further enhances the slim profile of the
table. The whole piece is sealed and waxed to a pleasing
lustre finish.
