This is a lovely example of a deep, dark red mahogany library bookcase which has been fully restored. The top, glazed section has fine glazing bars with a unique design. The shelves are fully adjustable and have been moulded on the front edges. Below the top moulding on the base a drawer runs the full width of the bookcase. Following on down a pair of doors, with matched flame figure, open to reveal a capacious cupboard with a central shelf.

This two drawer chest of drawers, or commode if you are posh, was in a sorry old state when we purchased it. However, nothing is too great a challenge for our workshop! Two knobs were missing and these were replaced with a pair of contemporary ones. The bottoms of the drawer runners had worn away and had to be replaced. The main task was to replace some missing veneer and fixing down some loose patches. Once all the prep work was done the whole thing was cleaned back to its original state, stained, sealed and re polished to a lustre finish. Now we have a stylish piece of furniture with commodious drawers!

This is a unique, one off piece of exquisite work. The chest was designed to meet the storage facilities of a top of the range game fisherman. Made from solid teak, from renewable resources, the outer case is dovetailed all round and the lid rebated to create a tight fit. Solid brass furniture is fitted to continue the quality theme. The lower interior is sub divided with moveable partitions. Above this is a lift out tray, dovetailed again, with sections for smaller tackle. Some of these compartments have adjustable sections also.

Shaker furniture has simple, clean lines and this mirror is no exception. It's made from indigenous elm that has an additional feature.

The "spalting", various colour variations in the grain, has been caused by a fungal attack that has been introduced into the raw material at some point. This sought after feature adds to the natural beauty of the elm itself.

Round, tilt top mahogany pedestal table with brass and china fittings.

This mahogany table was in a sorry old state and deserved to be fully restored. Without damaging the integrity of the piece too much the top surface has been cleaned and polished. Some character features remain, a shrinkage gap and some deep, dark staining; nothing more than you'd expect from something this old!

This is a stylish, unique room divider or display unit made from contrasting dark walnut and light maple woods.

We have blended the two contrasting timbers into one stylish unit that can be used as a simple room divider, display focal point or even an open bookcase. Each maple shelf is fitted to the walnut legs with a hidden, complex joint. A circular plug of maple finishes each fixing off. The shelves are equally spaced at about 11 ¼" apart, 28.5cm.

These oak barley twist side or bedside tables are made from old and reclaimed timbers.

Made from solid oak the centre column is a classic barley twist. The top is made from distressed boards jointed to form a solid piece. There is a slight undercut moulding on the lower side of the top that gives it a lift. The three legs are hand shaped with refined pad feet. Each is spliced into the centre column with a dovetail joint.

These boxes are made from top quality English oak with full figure features. (Other timbers cane be used upon request).

Each box has a hinged, lockable lid revelling a large storage area with baize lining. Bellow this is a drawer made up with dovetail joints. All frame joints are fully morticed and tennoned and the panels are all raised and fielded. Superior, hammered metal lacquered furnishings are applied to each box and the whole thing sits on a finely raised plinth.

These stacks of drawers are designed for a variety of uses. They are made from English "olive" ash with mahogany detail beading around each drawer.

Olive ash has naturally occurring darker inclusions and streaks that enhance and accentuate the grain of the wood. In this case the mahogany detail has been used to compliment the feature.
